The national health system are developing their research into Neurological conditions. According to the NICE guidelines, the NHS recognise Arachnoid Cysts in secondary care (hospitals, usually atound rupture) but do not currently 'code' (acknowledge) arachnoid cysts in primary care (General Practitioners). This makes it increasingly difficult to relay symptoms of arachnoid cysts and be referred to a specilaist neurosurgeon.
We are working hard to change this.
The NHS have recently done some work on developing neurological information for both primary and secondary clinicians.
